Memorandum of understanding (MoU)

On 1 October 2013, Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and Mr.Eric Rondolat, Chief Executive Officer. Philips Lighting, Signed an MoU to help transform Dubai into the most sustainable city in the world.

Upto 50% energy savings

Dubai Municipality has pledged to reduce its energy consumption by 20% over the next three years and can do so by adopting innovative solutions, such as LED lighting.

By replacing current lighting installations with the latest LED technology in 262 buildings, Dubai Municipality can save 50% of its lighting energy consumption and 6200 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
